The Last Free Space

The internet is often thought of as the only place that one can say, publish, and write whatever they want with only very marginal limits. With the original emergence of the internet, many began lobbying heavily to ensure the limitless freedom of speech and exchange of ideas. Sadly, the beauty of this freedom may be challenged by the "Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset" legislation AKA "The Killswitch Bill." If passed, this has the ability to do the same in America as was done in Egypt. Those proposing the legislation claim it is to protect American cyberspace from cyberterrorism but the implications of this control is far more reaching and the government's influence may reach where it hasn't before. I urge each and every one of you to write to you representatives explaining that this legislation is NOT in the best interest of the nation.
