All briefly glimpsing a newspaper the past few weeks are well aware of the Egyptian political crisis. While somewhat removed, this conflict may have more of an impact on America than first thought. Mubarak, the former president of Egypt resigned yesterday and the situation has begun to worry Israelis. Mubarak was a strong ally of Israel and was a key figure in Middle Eastern peace. Israel fears that this is not just a fluke, but part of a greatly changing Arab middle east that will leave Israel even more isolated. Whether or not you agree with America's involvement, this event may hit closer to home than expected in the next decade.
